Talent x Sage
Sage has partnered with Talent International to support the management of its contractor and consultant community. Through this partnership, Talent is responsible for the onboarding, compliance, contracts, timesheets, and payments for all non-permanent workers engaged by Sage.
This means that while you continue to work on your assignments with Sage, Talent will be your point of contact for all engagement-related matters. Our role is to make sure your setup is compliant, your contracts are in place, and that you are paid smoothly and on time.

Compliance Checks & Documentation
As part of your engagement with Sage through Talent International, we need to complete a series of compliance checks. These checks are standard practice and ensure that both you and Sage are protected, and that the way you are engaged is fully compliant with legal and contractual requirements.
We will ask you to provide certain documents, which may include:
Passport or national ID card
Proof of bank details
Bank certificate of ownership
Freelance registration certificate (if applicable)
Proof of tax number
Proof of social security registration
Proof of VAT registration (if applicable)
Proof of residency and right to work
Proof of business insurances (for limited company contractors)
Why do we need this information?
Compliance checks are in place to:
Protect you
by making sure your business is set up correctly and safeguarded financially (e.g. through appropriate insurances).
Protect Sage
by ensuring that the people working with them are legally able to do so, with the right tax and social security structures in place.
Ensure smooth payments
by verifying bank and ownership details, so there are no issues when processing your pay.
Meet legal and client requirements
many of these checks are mandatory to remain compliant with tax, employment, and right-to-work regulations.
Having the right documentation in place helps us avoid delays, ensures payments run smoothly, and gives everyone confidence that your engagement is set up properly from the start.

FAQs
Here’s what will happen step by step:
AOR (Agent of Record) ensures that all contractor engagements are compliant, properly verified, and managed through a single streamlined process. This protects you, the client, and ensures smooth payment handling.
Our compliance and contracts partner will reach out directly once you submit the onboarding form.
No — simply complete the onboarding form. Our partner will request documents specific to your setup.
You’ll receive login details once set up. Submit timesheets online by entering hours/days worked and uploading receipts (if applicable).
Payments are processed monthly, provided your timesheet is submitted and approved before the cut-off date.
As an independent contractor, you remain responsible for managing and paying your own taxes in line with your local regulations. The AOR model ensures your engagement is fully compliant, but it does not replace your tax obligations.
No. The AOR model does not change your underlying business setup. If you normally file and pay taxes as a sole trader, limited company, or through another structure, that remains the same.
AOR ensures your engagement is legally compliant, your contracts are properly verified, and payments are streamlined. This reduces administrative risk and ensures you are paid correctly and on time.
No. AOR supports a variety of business structures (sole trader, limited company, personal services company, etc.). Our compliance partner will advise which documents are required based on your setup.
You should seek advice from a qualified tax adviser or accountant familiar with your personal circumstances. Talent International and our compliance partner can guide you on contractual matters, but we do not provide tax advice.
In most cases, no — you will be paid gross (before tax), and it is your responsibility to declare and pay taxes. However, in some countries or scenarios, tax withholding may apply. If that is relevant to you, our compliance partner will advise during onboarding.
